Would you like to see your child’s artistic skills turned into a piece of incredible jewellery?
Students will have the chance to WIN in $4,000 of prizes!
Now in it’s tenth year, Soklich & Co. Jewellers are excited to invite both primary and secondary students in Western Australia to enter the 2026 Student Jewellery Design Competition*. This gives students the chance to design their own piece of jewellery, with a possibility of it being hand-made into an actual piece of jewellery.
Design brief: We would like to see you design a pendant or brooch that is inspired by the red poppy as the commemorative
flower of remembrance in Australia. The jewellery piece can include red and black gemstones, using yellow, white or rose gold.
The piece or sections of the piece can be plated in ruthenium (black) which can also be used in the design.
Once the designs have been submitted and finalists selected, our Soklich & Co. Jewellery designers will work with the student designs to ensure the concepts will be practical and able to be manufactured by sketching the designs to scale. The designs will then be ready for public voting via our Website and in the showroom, everyone will have the opportunity to pick their favourite design.
FINALISTS
Soklich & Co. Jewellers will be selecting four finalists from primary school (Pre-primary to Year 6) and four finalists from high school (Year 7 to Year 12).
Overall, we will be giving away two Awards, with one winning student from each of the below categories;
- People’s Choice Award.
- Soklich & Co. Youth Design Award.
GIVEAWAYS
- The Peoples Choice Award will be selected by the general public, and the student will a receive a $1,000 Soklich & Co. Gift voucher and $1,000 cash towards their School Art Department.
- The Soklich & Co. Youth Design Award, will be selected by Lexie & Chris Soklich, for the most artistic design and the student will receive a $1,000 Soklich & Co. Gift voucher and $1,000 cash towards their School Art Department.
Public voting will open on Wednesday 29 April until Wednesday 13 May, on this page, and also via Facebook/Instagram or you can vote in the showroom. Both the People’s Choice Award winner and the Soklich & Co. Youth Design Award winner will be announced on Thursday 14 May 2026.
